How a claim works
You enter your details once. We take the case all the way, including to court, and keep you posted at every step.
1. You check your flight
You enter the departure airport, final destination, date and what happened. Our engine applies the rules of Regulation (EC) 261/2004 and the case law of the Court of Justice of the EU and tells you on the spot whether you qualify and for how much. We do not ask for personal data until you see the result.
2. You sign the mandate online
You receive the mandate contract by e-mail and sign it from your phone. You upload your boarding pass or booking confirmation (a photo is enough) and a copy of your ID. If there are several passengers on the booking, each adult signs their own mandate and a parent signs for minors.
3. We verify the flight data
We confirm the actual delay and its cause from sources independent of the airline: radar data, operational messages, weather at the airport, air traffic restrictions on the day. That way we know in advance whether the airline's stated reason holds up.
4. We send the claim to the airline
Airlines must reply within a reasonable time, in practice 4 to 8 weeks. Many pay at this stage. If they refuse without grounds or do not reply, we move to the next step without asking you each time and at no extra cost.
5. We go to the authority or to court
Depending on the country of departure, we file a complaint with the national enforcement body or start court proceedings through our partner lawyers. Court fees and lawyers' fees are advanced by us. Our success rate in court is very high precisely because we filter cases rigorously from the start.
6. You get paid
When the airline pays, we transfer the amount to the account you indicated, minus our 25% + VAT fee. You receive a statement showing the gross amount, the fee and the net. If the money came directly to you, you pay the fee against our invoice.
How long it takes
| Stage | Usual duration |
|---|---|
| Checking the flight and signing the mandate | same day |
| The airline's reply to the claim | 4 to 8 weeks |
| Procedure at the national authority | 2 to 6 months |
| Court action, including enforcement | 6 to 18 months |
Timelines depend on the airline and the competent country. Some low-cost airlines only pay after a court ruling; others pay straight away.
